Gilligan's Island was a Midway pinball machine, produced under the Bally name, released in May 1991. It was based on the television series of the same name and was the first Williams WPC machine that was released with a dot matrix display, actually the first ever pinball machine with a high resolution (128x32) DMD (whereas the first DMD was used in Checkpoint by Data East and released three months earlier only featured 128x16).

The promotional video released WMS/Bally also claimed the coin door latch was redesigned to ensure the general illumination (GI) was not shorted out on the coin door. It also claimed the ball poppers were redesigned to use a single piece mechanism connected by a screw rather than the prior two piece system connected by a pin that caused some mechanical problems.
